Garrett Treanor is an audio engineer and researcher with a keen focus on immersive audio. Believing that compelling audio experiences tell compelling stories, Treanor has spent his professional career working on a host of multimedia projects, conducting audio research, and teaching in an effort to make the world of audio more accessible.

His research has spanned from perceptual evaluations of immersive pipe organ reproductions for preservation purposes to methods preventing binaural externalization collapse without the use of individualized head-related transfer functions, and as an audio engineer, Treanor has established himself with a variety of credits including national award winning productions.

Treanor studied at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, earning his BSc in Audio Engineering and Sound Production, minoring in Scoring for Visual Media with a certificate in Analogue Audio Electronics in 2023.
At 23, Treanor resides in Manhattan with his two cats, Odhrán and Aoife, researching psychoacoustic properties of binaural audio and completing his Masters degree at New York University.
