New York based Garrett Treanor is an audio engineer specializing in immersive audio research.
He has an in-depth background with all major immersive and spatial audio formats, including Dolby Atmos, MPEG-H, Unreal Engine 5, Ambisonics, and more, dedicated to researching human perception of sound in 3D space.
Outside of his work with immersive audio, Treanor is an established audio engineer with credits including national award winning productions.
A Masters student in Music Technology at New York University, he is currently investigating methods to prevent binaural externalization collapse without the use of individualized head-related transfer functions.
